Enriko Kehl Crowned K-1 World MAX Champion

On October 11th in Pattaya, Thailand Enriko Kehl and Buakaw Banchamek met in a technical fight in the finals of the K-1 World MAX tournament to crown a new champion. Banchamek fought a calculated fight against Kehl with heavy knee strikes and frustrating the young German fighter with throws. Kehl was not to be deterred, though, firing back with precision combinations with his hands and landing clean shots on the two-time K-1 World MAX Champion.

After three rounds the judges scored the fight a draw, prompting a fourth extension round. Banchamek did not return to the ring for the fourth round, thus forfeiting the fight to Enriko Kehl.

K-1 congratulates Enriko Kehl on the victory and is proud to call him the K-1 World MAX Champion.
